Daniel Dahl grew up in Northwood, North Dakota, graduating from Northwood High School in 1978. He attended the University of North Dakota majoring in Pre-Mortuary Science, graduating from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Dallas Texas in 1987. He and his wife Jeanette live in Grand Forks along with their 3 children; Grant, Brandon and Caitlin. He enjoys spending time in outdoor activities such as golf, fishing, hunting and camping and traveling with his family. Dan and his wife Jeanette purchased the funeral home on July 1, 2011 from Tom and Judy Stennes. They will continue to serve the communities of East Grand Forks and Grand Forks and surrounding communities with the same commitment and compassion as they have done for the past 26 years as a director for the Stennes Funeral Home.
Dan is a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, is a former board member and past-president of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association, the Grand Forks / East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce and also the Altru Hospital Infant Bereavement Advisory Board. He is also member of the National Funeral Directors Association and holds a funeral directors license in both Minnesota and North Dakota.

Jeanette (Dryburgh) Dahl was born and raised in Grand Forks, graduating from Red River High School in 1980. She attended the University of North Dakota where she graduated with an AA degree. She has worked for the Grand Forks Public Schools Athletic Department for the past 25 years. Jeanette has been a lifelong member of Sharon Lutheran Church. She and Dan were married in June of 1983 and have three children - Grant (Alissa), Brandon, and Caitlin. She enjoys vacations to warmer climates, reading, walking, golfing, going to the lakes and spending time with her family and friends.

Melanie(Hulst)Larson grew up in Roseau, Minnesota and graduated from Roseau High School in 1996. She then continued her education earning degrees from both the University of North Dakota and then the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. After passing the National Board Exam, she served her apprenticeship in Ohio and after passing their state board exam was licensed to practice mortuary science which she did there for almost 15 years. She also earned a license in Kentucky where she worked and lived with her husband Sean and daughter Alexandra “Ally.” While pregnant with their second daughter, Anna, the Larson family relocated back to Minnesota to be closer to family, arriving in East Grand Forks in December of 2016. She obtained her license to practice mortuary science in Minnesota in 2018 and then joined Dahl Funeral Home as a funeral director and embalmer.

Lacie (Landenberger) Brueckner grew up in Hazen, ND and graduated from Hazen High School in 2001. She attended the University of North Dakota before transferring to the University of Minnesota where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science in 2005. She completed her internship at Baker Funeral Home in Mayville, ND and continued there as a director until 2013. She then transferred to Myers Funeral Home in Linton, ND where she was the manager until 2020. Lacie joined Dahl Funeral Home in the fall of 2020 as a part-time funeral director/embalmer and holds licenses in ND, MN, and SD.
Lacie and her husband, Chris, have 5 children, Alex (Kaelyn), Kraysten, Connor, Masen, and Amaya; and have recently moved back home to Chris’s family farm near Niagara, ND. The family enjoys hockey, golf, and especially camping.
